This Subcommittee will focus on comparative lot coverage data and "out-of-scale" construction – McMansions to some – and recommend to the rest of Vision 2012’s members new public policy and code to manage both housing scale and total coverage growth in the present and future Village.As it turns out, we don’t have very good data on what the Village is now, and this group will try to fill that gap. We need a good working electronic file on which we can base better public policy guidelines for the future. If you can help us gather the essential data, we’d be delighted.
And we need good ideas about what is and is not acceptable in building the future Village. What do you yourself think? What aspects of residential zoning and appearance would you like to see retained? Any that you would like to see modified or changed? Let us know.
